Under new stewardship, the Marshall-Wells building, located in the Pearl District in Northwest Portland, was transforming from an historic industrial past into a re-purposed urban living space. The Marshall-Wells Lofts needed to create a brand identity and sales materials.
My Role
As senior art director and graphic designer, created the brand identity, logo, brochure, and sales presentation. The Marshall-Wells building’s rich history, architecture, and prominent water tower inspired the design.
Worked with a writer and a photographer to showcase how the old and new could live together in tandem. Created an in-depth timeline within the brochure and sales presentation that spanned from 1910 to the 21st century, using beautiful building details, historic photos and architect renderings.
Listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1988, a timeline was a natural way to tell the Marshall-Wells Lofts story: past and present.
