LANGUAGE! Live is a comprehensive literacy program whose creators at Voyager Sopris Learnng wanted a fresh, new marketing campaign. So we created “I Am More,” an inspirational message that connected emotionally and better represented the complexity of students who need literacy support.
My Role
As creative director, art director and graphic designer on the concept/strategic team, created the visual concept for the “I Am More” campaign.
To tell the “I Am More” story, art directed the photoshoot which highlighted Oregon students looking directly at the camera, and spotlighted their individual passions, such as rock climbing, basketball, art or music.
These photographs supported the messaging and showcased the children as confident, talented, and connected. “More” than just kids struggling to read.
Designed full-page ads for national trade publications. Designed website, social media templates and banner ads. Created brand guidelines for client’s in-house designers.
The I am more than a statistic advertisement was awarded the Advertising Excellence honor for achieving the highest overall composite average score in the Readex Research Advertising Effectiveness study.
